An Introduction to My Business – Hannah’s Hounds Dog Training

Hi, I’d like to introduce myself and tell you about my journey into dog training in Evesham. I am ‘Hannah’ from Hannah’s Hounds Dog Training!

I set up Hannah’s Hounds a couple of years ago while I was completing my accredited dog training course with PACT (Professional Association of Canine Trainers).

In order to maintain my registration I am obligated to keep up my CPD (Continuing Professional Development), by attending courses and conferences throughout the year.

I decided to become a dog trainer after getting my very busy working cocker spaniel Pippa. She is an absolute delight to me and I have loved every minute of training her.

I have a psychology degree and a Masters in Social Sciences, but learning about how to practically train my dog and see her grow in confidence was something else. I was bitten by the training bug!

My dog Pippa has attended gundog training since she was a puppy and we go to agility lessons, in addition to good citizen training with the kennel club. She laps up training sessions and loves nothing more than me getting out my clicker and a handful of treats.

Dog Training in Evesham and the Surrounding Villages

I offer private dog training lessons in your home environment in order to teach you how to train your dog. I also teach four classes a week, for Evesham Dog Training Club.

We all want a well behaved pet at home, who walks by our side when out, comes back when called and who doesn’t embarrass us. This is something I value for myself and my dog.

Dogs are the best companions we can ask for but if we don’t train them to live along side us in a way that works for both us and them, things can go sadly wrong.

Dogs need to feel safe, they need stimulation, company and affection in addition to all the basic needs and if we don’t provide this, they will seek it out for themselves.

We ask our dogs to use their brains to learn, which in turn stimulates them and develops our relationship with them, which is invaluable!

Hannah’s Hounds Dog Training services offer tailored dog training packages to suit your dog’s needs. My sessions are based on positive reinforcement methods (reward based training) and are designed to strengthen the bond between you and your canine companion. I am happy to travel to you and work in an agreed location that is suitable and comfortable for your dog to learn. We usually select a location that your dog is familiar with and feels safe in when commencing training sessions. Starting training as soon as possible on a weekly basis, is really important for any new pet, so that you can develop a harmonious relationship from the very beginning.
